The Hunt is Over!

I am so EXCITED! After a couple months of not having any luck on buying a home as first time home buyers, we found our perfect option - build! We are using a company called, Salisbury Homes and they produce beautiful homes. In our price range it was the same price for us to build as it was to buy so we couldn't turn down the offer. This home will truly be ours and we can't wait for it to be done in Mid-March. We absolutely love the neighborhood, Red Field Estates, and when we were choosing the lot we realized we knew the people in the next door lot, so we already know one of our neighbors!

We were going to wait a couple more weeks, but I realized that the house would be done during finals and that wouldn't be good at all. :) So, we jumped the gun and started this quick process.

I've been a stress case this last couple of weeks with house hunting. I usually am such a deep sleeper, but the past nights I have had the hardest time falling asleep and I have woken up around at 4 am not being able to fall back asleep. My teeth have also hurt when I wake up because I grind my teeth when I'm stressed. Anyways, hopefully tonight I can sleep well!

These next couple months should go by fast with 18 credits, practicum assignments, plus work along with Brad's long hours at work and just the usual daily life :). So happy.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas. Full of lots of fun with friends and family here in St. George. As soon as I was done with final exams we were able to go the the Forgotten Carols, which was great as always. Mike and Ashley were in town for over a month and it was really fun hanging out with them, playing games and going to Mike's parents cabin at PineValley. The four wheelers were struggling, but we made the most of it and had tons of fun playing games and eating food inside the nice, warm cabin. It was good to hang out with Skylar and Alisa too - we live in the same town and never see each other!

The week before Christmas, we had a Garrett white-elephant party. It was a hoot. Garrett was loving the headband in the gift I had in the pile. Lucas, in the video, was going nuts that he actually got the lightening mcqueen car that he brought. I missed the first part - he was wigging out and shaking so hard, full of excitement.

We made gingerbread houses too.

Brad went Hog Hunting on Christmas eve day while I worked with other family at Frostop. They didn't shoot anything, but they said they saw a lot of tracks. (I'm glad they weren't able to shoot anything (: !)

Brad and I opened our gifts to each other on Christmas eve. We got each other shoes, brad got me a purse, and I gave brad a remote control car. I made brad a pop-up card that opened up into a house. We are getting super excited to be a first time home buyer (soon!). Christmas morning we all went to church with the in-laws and then had Christmas at their home. Both of our families spoiled us and we really appreciate everyone.

Bullet is the biggest cuddle bug and I swear he always has to be under a blanket, well I didn't have a blanket out and so he started pawing at my big sweatshirt that I was wearing. That little guy crawled up my hoodie and was seriously chilling in there and would have for a long time if I would have let him - so funny.

Christmas was great this year, I really enjoyed the LDS new bible videos of Christ's birth. What a great representation. The story is amazing and I'm so grateful for His gift to the world. I also gained a new appreciation for the many people who took part in Christ's birth and life that had enough faith to do what they did.

Well, Brad's job as the general manager at Hillsports is going great. We had a fun Christmas party with the company, ate yummy food and went to Sherlock Homes. He is doing very well and starting to feel comfortable with his position.

School starts tomorrow for me.... darn. The break has been super nice. It was weird to not have homework or some project in the back of my head over the past 3 weeks. Let the maddness begin tomorrow :).

Thanksgiving

Well I failed at taking pictures... I had such a good time just chillin and relaxin with family that I wasnt focused on taking pictures. I did snap that video above of trinity telling me crazy princess stories. The second video is the girls Human Bowling. Izzy wasn't eating her dinner, so Nick wouldn't throw her... she decided to break dance instead :). Nick and Tristan's kids are growing up so fast. Thanksgiving was great... It was just my family and grandpa and grandma Thornton. It was a great dinner.... Mashed potatoes were almost forgotten but we made them in a hurry. Both brad and I have decided that when we do our own thanksgiving dinner we are having a fancy buffet of tacos.... Who likes turkey that much anyways!? We helped my parents move a lot of boxes out of storage into their new house. My mom did a great job designing basically everything including the cabinents to drawing up their floor plan and my dad did great work buiding the house (they say it's their last - we'll see if they stick to their word!) We had a great visit!

Living in Stillwater will always be a time in our lives that we will cherish and remember forever. We would still be living there if it weren't for family. This year was the 10 year anniversary for the 10 who died in a plane crash when the men's basketball team was flying home from Colorado. Unfortunately, Thursday night another plane crash occurred and killed the women's basketball head coach, Kurt Budke and assistant coach, Miranda Serna.

The OSU community has a sense of pride that is amazing. When our family would come to visit, one of the first things they would say was that everyone wears orange and the city is orange. I'm sure the streets are full of even more orange in respect to the tragic deaths that took place on Thursday. I never personally met Coach Budke, but whenever I did pass him in Gallagher-Iba Arena he would say hello even though he didn't know who I was. Brad has great memories of him and his assistant. Brad said that Coach Budke would always call him by name and check up on him and see how everything was going. Brad was able to help Coach Serna with possible recruits from CSI. He talks very highly of them and they will truly be missed. As mentioned in the video, they were more than basketball coaches, they were mentors and great people. I just pray that the great people of OSU can make it through this hard time once again, especially the family members of the coaches. I'm also thinking of the psychiatrist, Dr. Gentry, that I worked for at OSU's Wellness Center. I'm sure he is going to be even more booked than usual and I would not want to be in his shoes. As a member of the LDS church, I have my personal beliefs on death and so I am very grateful to have a sense of calmness and surety that we all have the opportunity to be with our families forever.

$60 = Something Greater

I just had an amazing experience tonight. Andra, my mother in-law, had given me $60 at work for managing over the weekend while they were out of town.... Super nice of her and going to my cash stash. Anyways.... I put it in my back pocket and when I got home late tonight I went to take it out to put in my stash and it wasn't there. You know that gut-deep feeling you get when you loose something.... That's what I instantly felt. I was so excited to add more money to my future house decor and/or Christmas stash. We have been super frugal lately trying to save any penny for a house so I just wanted to break down and cry. I texted my sister in-law to check around for me in the morning. Then I couldn't stop thinking about it and retracked my steps in the house twice. As I went upstairs knowing that I wouldn't sleep I had a heart wrentching feeling to go back to Frostop. I thouht it was just me being impatient and wanting to find it now... But then I said a prayer and the feeling was still there, strong as ever. I woke up sleeping Brad and asked him what I should do and he was tired so didn't say much but he gave me the security code if I was going back. I decided to go back just in case the money was in the parking lot and because I wanted to test this feeling that I had and this $60 was well worth it to me. I got in the car and forgot my wallet so I prayed that the cops wouldn't drive by as I was there since frostop would be closed and I was in my p.j.'s with no I.d. so it would totally look suspicious . I get there and look around on the blacktop and nothing.... I go inside hoping I get the security system right so I don't set it off. I look around and nothing.... Then as I'm super sad, and go back to the car and the money was right in front of me on the blacktop plain in sight. I broke down and cried in the car ride home. I thanked Heavenly Father the whole way home. Lately, because of President Monson's examples of following the Holy Spirit, I have been challenging myself to follow the Spirit no matter what. Well tonight I was given an awesome opourtuniy and I was so grateful to have enough courage and faith to follow the prompting. I'm sure that $60 would have been long gone in the morning by the wind or picked up by some drunk from the one and only bar next door. The monetary value of this $60 will be very temporary, but the lesson learned from these Andrew Jacksons will be forever lasting. It was an amazing experience and I promised myself I would write it down. So here I am writing this in bed. Bullet has his paws pressing against my back and brad is sleep talking :D. Life doesn't get much better than this. Never thought I would be grateful for losing $60....

Pumpkins

We had a great time carving pumpkins yesterday with the family. I found an awesome pattern on bhg.com for a Jack Russel. I think it turned out good! Brad's was awesome too. Kody and Garrett had fun playing with knives.

School is going great. CRAZY BUSY (I should be reading my text books right now). It's not that the program is academically killing, it's not med school, but it is a lot of new concepts and tons and tons of assignments... introduction into being a teacher I guess. We write a lot of lesson plans. I haven't met a teacher yet that actually uses lessons plans, but hey, I'm sure it's great practice on organizing a lesson. I do like the one professor that requires us to write down our "teacher talk", I think that is really effective. Anyways, I am enjoying all that I am learning and the way they are instructing us to teach is super effective. I do, we do, you do together, and you do it alone - gradual release of instruction, just like riding a bike. There are way too many classrooms full of "teacher teaches and then student do it alone" going on out there! Oh yeah, I'm in a first grade class all day on Wednesday and there have been sooo many times when I literally have to turn around so the students don't see me laughing hysterically. It is quite the funny class.

Brad is really enjoying his new job as general manager of Hillsports. He is the go-to guy and he comes home exhausted. The business has been built really well, now he is just keeping up with the work load and bringing in his contacts for business as well. He comes home with funny stories and he is happy, it couldn't be better. It has been really nice to actually have most weekends off from both of us working, we are actually home more often. It usually consists of me doing homework and brad watching tv though :).

We are officially first time house hunters. Hopefully in the next couple of months we will find an awesome house. Luckily my Dad's best friends wife (and his cousin), Linda Hansen, is a real estate agent and so we are in good hands. With interest rates at 3.75% we don't want to miss out. We love where we are at now, but neighbors and no yard gets old.

Can't wait for Thanksgiving in my parents new house!

Not Moving!

HOORAY! We don't have to move to Cedar City! Brad is taking over an employee's position that worked out of Hurricane and is one of the main dudes. Hurricane is only about a 25 minute commute from St. George. This job situation has really worked out nicely! All the stress I had about moving and commuting to school is GONE :). Maybe in the next year or so we will move out near Washington or Coral Canyon area... then it will only be about a 10-15 mile commute for Brad. But for now, I'm just happy.

3 Times a Charm...

Can't complain about our 3rd time moving this year :).

That's right... Brad got an awesome full time Job! Thank you to his buddy, Bryce, for giving the business Brad's name for the job. The company is Hillsports and they are located out of Hurricane, Utah but they also are located in Cedar City. Brad will be managing the Cedar City store. For you Oklahoma people, it is similar to Duprees on the strip in Stillwater. I'm so happy for Brad, constantly applying, writing new cover letters and resumes, and interviewing for jobs was really burning him out. His hard work really paid off though because he is going to love this job. Things fell into place really quick! We will be moving to Cedar in a couple weeks so if anyone knows of any good areas to live in let us know. We plan on renting for the next year and then buying a house in the near future. For now I will be commuting to Dixie State in St. George since it is only a 45 min drive but we will see what happens. I just started the Elementary Education program and it is going really well so I would rather not transfer. Anyways, I'm super excited for this new adventure and this move does testify to the saying..."3 times a charm"!

My Trip to NY and B&W 4 years!

I had such a great time visiting my sister Joy and her family. She lives in Pittsford, NY and is only about 15 minutes away from Palmyra and Rochester. It was beautiful everywhere we went. I made some lasting memories! I only wished that Brad could have been there with me... next time he is coming for sure. I took a million pictures and so I grouped some of them together to make it easier to blog about. Summer is officially over for me in 5 days because school starts again :(.

Smith Family Log Home


Smith Log Home. I don't know how they lived in such small homes! It was amazing seeing the upstairs where Angel Moroni visited Joseph. Joseph didn't have his own bedroom and private space to it was amazing to realize that he was visited in a room full of his siblings. What an amazing thought and to know that he was able to receive revelation not in total privacy.

Smith Family Frame Home

Smith Family Frame Home. Jaclyn was able to lift up the bricks near the fireplace where Joseph hid the Golden Plates from a mob of men. Jaclyn thought it was really cool that they were buried there at one time. This house was much bigger than the log home but it was amazing to think that they build this all by man power - amazing.

The Sacred Grove

The Sacred Grove. If you haven't been to Palmyra I recommend to do so - this was awesome. There were mosquitoes and so we did get a couple of bug bites. The next morning Jaclyn came out of the shower laughing, "man a mosquito really had some humor, I have a bite on my bum!" We got sacred bites :).

Grandin Press and Print Shop

Grandin Press and Print Shop was really neat. It was amazing to see how much work and effort it took to actually publish the Book of Mormon. I definitely gained a new appreciation for the 24/7 access we have to learn of Christ and His ways through the many available reading/viewing/listening options. This article was great...

Rochester, New York

Rochester, New York! It was raining this day but the city is really beautiful. The building on the bottom left is where by brother in-law works as a corporate attorney. This day was Jaclyn's birthday and so we met him for lunch at the yummy cafeteria. Jaclyn had a grilled cheese and onion rings for lunch. She also chose mac n cheese (homemade) for dinner. Quite the cheesy day she said :)

The Strong Museum for Kids

After Jaclyn's birthday lunch we continued the celebration at this awesome museum. They had a Wegman's Grocery store where kids could play, a butterfly exhibit, and tons and tons of other adventures and activities for kids to enjoy. We had a great time.

Birthday Girl

Jaclyn sure had a great birthday. She received many packages from family that lives elsewhere. She sure got excited about every gift. We made birthday cupcakes and Jaclyn decorated them all by herself with only a little help - she did awesome.

Walking on the Erie Canal

The Erie Canal is huge and it's crazy to think that it was all man made. The bridges are awesome and in other villages they had draw bridges that lift up when boats come though. It was a gorgeous walk and we had fun feeding the ducks and enjoying the beautiful evening.

Lake Canandaguia

It was a cloudy overcast day so I was thinking people are crazy getting in the water when it's only in the 80's outside. Nothing like the heat here in St. George :D. Eventually, when the sun came out I pulled out the Idaho toughness in me and got in the water with Jaclyn. Surprisingly, the water wasn't as cold as I imagined. It was a fun day and was nice to just spend time with them.

Jaclyn's Baptism

What fun memories for Jaclyn. It was a great day and I think Jaclyn is the most popular 8 year old in their ward. Although a lot of people weren't able to make it to the baptism cause of summer conflicts, she had TONS and TONS of adults and kids come up and congratulated her. Jaclyn sure is a great example to the ward, she is always impressing people with her smarts about the scriptures and the gospel. Jaclyn is beautiful but she was sure shining bright on her baptism day. My dad spoke on Baptism, it was great, and then her Grandpa and Grandma McClean spoke on the Holy Ghost. Alex, Jaclyn's dad, is the ward mission leader and conducts their baptisms so it was neat for him to be able to conduct Jaclyn's. Everything went well! We had a nice luncheon afterwords which required a lot of prepping the night before, I had cut up so many veggies that my nails were stained orange from the carrots :).

Hill Cumorah

Unfortunately, it was raining when we visited the site but it was sure gorgeous and we were the only people there because of the rain. To think what happened there is miraculous and it sure felt great to be at the site. One day I would love to see pageant.

Tomlinson Inn

I hadn't heard of this place until Joy set up a private tour by some of their ward missionaries. Check out this article if you're not familiar either. There is a lot more to the story but the main thing is that after Brigham Young joined the church his first address took place in front of the fireplace (bottom left photo). The Inn has a lot history so it was really neat. Just down the street we were also able to check out the Young's home. It was really cool, an older sister missionary couple live there and the house is awesome. The floors were slanted and in the basement you could see how they built the house because of the exposed beams. It basically was built as a puzzle if they needed to move they could move the house.

Cemetery

This was a really old cemetery. The top headstone is John Tomlinson and below is his wife, Maria. The second to the bottom is Solomon F. Kimball who is the Father of Heber Kimball. The bottom headstone is Brigham Young's first wife, Miriam Works Young. I'm not a big fan of graveyards, but this was really neat.

I had a great time and can't wait to go visit again!

Brad and I also had our 4 YEAR anniversary on August 10! WOWZA, time has FLOWN by! It's crazy to think that the game of life led us both to CSI and things just fell into place and it was meant to be. It's like we've known each other all of our lives but met up at the time that we were supposed to meet up :). Heavenly Father knows best! I couldn't be more blessed to be married to the best man ever, love you BRAD.

Granite, boating, and good Idaho fun

My FAVORITE view at Granite Hot Springs. This is on the bridge close to the hot springs pool.

Unfortunately, this year the river was way too high and dangerous and all the rapids disappear so we didn't white water raft... instead we went on a hike up to an Arch. Grandpa and Uncle Mike said it wasn't that bad of a hike... I think they forgot :). We were all afraid for our lives at some point or another. It is scary when you are climbing a rocky steep mountain and a rock under your feet goes rolling down the mountain and we could only dodge to where the rock wouldn't hit us. I've never been afraid of heights until this wonderful adventure :). We could have gotten some AMAZING pictures but since our lives were on the line photos only happened when we were walking or sitting safely.

The start of the hike didn't seem so bad and it was really fun

This part was part of the steepest climbs. We joked that it was crawl 10 feet rest for 5 mins... etc. This was all broken, fragile, and loose rock that easily slides out from under you. There were even steeper parts climbing up to the Arch through the no-trails wilderness but we were too worried about making the climb to take pictures.

This was the snow under the arch. The snow was hollow underneath and it came avalanche-ing down the mountain right under our feet. Soon after brad slid down the mountain about 20 ft slicing his finger pretty good, soon after that we yelled SEAN, ROCK! ... luckily my cousin sean moved just in time so a huge rock didn't knock him out.

We took uncle larry's boat out and we had a blast on the tube! We didn't get a picture with me and the Thornton kids together but we caught major air!

Granite and boating was a blast and it was soo good to be with family for a week. We also went golfing, birthday shopping, celebrated Shea's birthday at Olive Garden, and had s'mores cooked over the fire pit at my parents that brought on a bunch of laughs the whole time. I LOVE Idaho, there is nothing else like it :). Thanks mom, dad, and lex for the great time!

Hike at Kanaraville Falls

We had a fun and eventful 4th of July. We started the day off early and drove just south of Cedar and hiked Kanaraville Falls. It is an easy hike but really pretty cause you just follow a creek that goes up to the Falls. We had to walk through the water most of the time so it was fun.

After hiking we took the dogs to the Virgin River (4 Great Danes, 1 Basset Hound, 1 Jack Russel). It's so funny to watch all of the dogs together - we think we need to do some type of a dog commercial :). After the river we cleaned up and then had a little dinner and played vball at wyatt's. It's always fun to play with all of us together - then we had a little firework show at the in-laws.

Across the street near the St. George Golf Club's clubhouse the hill was set on fire because of people's fireworks. It was amazing to see how fast it spread and we were getting worried for the nearby house. Finally, a firetruck came and put it out. I imagine those people who started it felt pretty stupid :).

Quick Trip to Idaho

When I found out Joy and her two kids were coming to Idaho I was so excited since I haven't seen them since my wedding back in 2007. I finally got to meet her cute little boy, Will! I flew in on Friday and that night we had a bbq with the Thompson Family, it was good to see everyone. That night Alexis and I slept out in the tent with cousins and nieces and nephew. Hayden was being quite the little crack-up and was sure making everyone laugh. The funniest comment of the night was from Hannah. After awhile of Hayden being crazy the kids were getting tired and Hannah yelled (while giggling), "Why was I adopted into this CRAZY family!". It was really cute and she sure tried to keep her brother under control. This video is a sneak peek of his craziness :)...

On Saturday we went to the Idaho Falls greenbelt and had pizza with the kids and went for a little walk near the river. They sure had fun and Jaclyn and Hannah were best buds on the walk. That evening, the Thornton side came over for a bbq and it was fun. Joy made yummy lemon lush and April and I made these awesome cupcakes that were delicious! On Monday night we went to Reed's Dairy to get their fabulous Ice Cream and Jaclyn and Will had fun with the farm animals. We also went to Johnstone because Jaclyn wanted to see where grandpa works and where Joy worked, she loved shredding paper! I was able to ride home with April since she was on her way to California. We were also able to meet up with Aunt Jenny and CJ for dinner in Provo. It was a fun night and Joy was able to show Jaclyn her old apartment at BYU and we had some awesome ice cream.

26 years old!

We just got done with a surprise family birthday breakfast for brad! Brad is 26! He was woken up by his nephews ringing the doorbell and we ate Brad's favorite french toast sticks and yummy oatmeal pancakes with juice, choc milk, and fruit. He has to work a 12 hour shift today so we had a birthday morning instead of birthday evening. I'll bring the cake into work so we can enjoy birthday cake later on :).

I got brad an awesome golf club that is for dogs. The club picks up tennis balls and you swing the club just like a normal golf swing and it goes flying for a dog to chase. The kids were crackin up watching bullet jump so high to try to get the ball out of the package.

All of Brad's b-day presents had to do with his birthday truck. Oklahoma State University license plate covers, tire gauge, tie downs, bungee cords, gum, air freshener, and cleaning wipes. He is in heaven.

End of Spring Semester and Summer begins

Sorry for the boring Journal-like Update... I am mainly doing this for myself so when I feel like catching up in my journal I have something to look back on. But for those of you who like to read feel free :) haha.

No pictures yet... It's Brad's birthday on Friday so we will have some by then. Just an update for everyone. SADLY unexpectedly (it's a long story) we had to move out of the house we were renting, I'm just sooo sad to leave the garden we planted and I hear it's growing awesome but I don't dare go look at it because I don't want to break down in tears! We now live in a town home that is nice and we can't complain one bit besides it costs more in rent. We have access to a pool so that has been awesome. I've been inviting the nephews over a lot so I don't feel dumb being at the pool by myself in the mornings ;). Bullet also loves our morning walks over to Shauntel's to play with her dogs while we exercise. So all in all the move has been great, we were just super sad to leave our awesome hook-up.

Brad got an early birthday present... a toyota tacoma 05'. He has been DROOLING over tacoma trucks since we've been married and it finally came time to buy a second car. He is in heaven and it has been SUPER nice having 2 cars. Our scooter is great and we love it but there are days where it is nice to not have to have the windy ride beat you to death :). Now we just want to go camping and vacationing... we can't wait for Granite this summer!

I got a 4.0 this Spring semester! I was excited about that. Finals went well and I had a week break and now summer classes begin. I have to take summer classes in order to start the Elementary Education program this fall. I'm taking a 5 week class and a 8 week class... they will fly by but I'm going to be super busy. I'm going to have to talk one of my professors into letting me take the final early so I can make the Granite trip... I CAN'T miss that!

It's been nice having our own place so that visitors can stay. April and Anna are coming memorial weekend and my awesome friend Kendria and her husband are coming for a night while they are out in Vegas for a Garth Brooks concert. I'm so excited to see them. So if anyone ever needs a place to stay, we have spare room for anyone!

Brad and his brother, Wyatt, played in a sand vball tourney a while ago and they were close but never pulled off a win. So.. they want to redeem themselves so they entered in a tournament up north to play in a couple weeks. They have been practicing in the mornings so hopefully they can pull off a win against the teams who live and breath volleyball!

Other than that we live up any spare minutes in the day cause we have been so busy lately... hence the lack of blogging. work work work :). I can't believe we have lived in St. George for 1 Year now... It's been crazy busy and we will see what the future has in store for us. For now it's just learning how to play the patience game.

Finished Pillows

I'm happy with the results of the pillows I made! Finally, my bed is finished :). My parents and sisters came over conference weekend - what a blast. My mom taught me how to do piping and she helped me make my decisions on colors and placements. Anyways, if anyone has been wanting to make pillows - do it! It's much cheaper than buying them for $20-$50 for each pillow at target and it really isn't hard. Plus, you can choose your own fabrics.

Spring Break

has been an awesome and much appreciated. Brad has had it off too since he works as an ESL assistant at an elementary school so it has really made me excited that we are both going to be teachers because the breaks are awesome.We have just been working every night at Frostop, so lucky to be able to work there.

We have played a ton of sand volleyball this break... so much fun. St. George has such nice weather that I've actually gotten to get some sun in this 70 degree weather :). Brad and Wyatt are playing in a sand vball tourney on April 2 so they wanted to get some practice in. They should do pretty good, they are super athletic, it's ridiculous.

We planted a garden and I started some flowers seeds! My flowers have finally started to spout! I can't wait to transfer them outside in a couple weeks. In the garden we planted cantaloupe, corn, carrots, and cucumber. The only problem is, apparently bullet still uses the area to lay in and run back and forth because I have seen my hills change shape and there are footprints all over... grr. We will see what sprouts in the next week or two and then I will see what I need to reseed. Dang dog :)

If you look closely at the rows you can tell when bullet has ruined them... I don't dare fix them because I don't want to cover the seeds....

Frostop made Marketing Ads at the clothing store, Maurices! Someone brought their mailer into us at Frostop and showed us the picture they used... so awesome. Brad and I went in there the other day and they had this huge banner on their wall (the banner cuts off the logo a little but but the postcard showed the whole thing). So cool! Do you think they cropped the girl in?! We can't decide.

Brad's parents and Shantel got new Great Dane puppies! they are so stinking cute. Tyler surprised Shauntel with one after Kim and Andra got theirs... she was in shock...

Tyler went to get Shauntel a puppy while we all were working at Frostop the other night. I left work a little early while they were mopping and hid in Kody's closet with a phone camera to record the surprise when Shauntel got home. Tyler told her that Kody needed to tell her something... Kody couldn't stay awake :).

We love our new house! We are just renting it for now and crossing our fingers that brad lands a teaching job here in the upcoming months.

It was my Mom's and Mom In-Laws Birthdays!!! Happy birthday you great ladies! Shauny and I made this edible arrangement above... super easy and fun. I will definitively be doing more of those in the future. Fruit is expensive right now, but you could easily make a huge one for under $10. A great alternative to cake for the Garretts who are non-sweets people :).

Garrett has bee having fun in Bullets kennel. We've had to use it lately because bullet sneaks out of the fenced yard. He squeezes until he fits through the bars of the fence... dang dog! We won't have to worry about that for long though.....

WE ARE MOVING INTO A HOUSE! It has a fenced yard, 2 bed, 2 bath, awesome mater bath, huge kitchen, mud room for washer and dryer, right on a park... etc. I could go on and on and on because I'm so excited! Its just down the street from brad's parents so we will be in the same ward. Hopefully it works out where we can rent this house for a year or more until we can buy a house. Oh, it's a happy day! We've been so fortunate and blessed to live with brad's parents for almost year. It has really been super easy and comfortable, but I'm excited for brad and I to just be in our own place again.

We just bought this dresser... unique I know, but we needed something that would match our dark brown ones, I think this will be a great piece to mix in with what we have.

I also got new bedding! We have been wanting a duvet and down comforter, so I finally broke down and got one. I'm going all white and putting the throw on the end of the bed. Since pillows are anywhere from $20 - $50 at stores, I'm to cheap to buy them so I'm making my own... this is one of my favorites that i'm going to make...

Bad Luck...

We really don't know how it happened. Check our shattered back window - There were millions of pieces.

The only thing we can think that may have caused it would be from when Brad removed the vinyl School of Ball lettering from the window a couple nights ago. The next day Brad came out from work with the window looking like this...

I'm assuming there was a big enough scratch where the vinyl had been and moisture probably froze in it over night (it did get to freezing temps). I bet when the morning's sun heated the window while brad was at work it may have changed the temperature too fast causing the whole dang window to shatter. There was absolutely no sign of vandalism or it being hit so that is the only thing we can think it would be.

We called the autoglass place and got an appointment for the next morning. As I drove there it could hear the window cracking and just wanting to collapse. When I pulled in the businesses parking lot it started to collapse inside the car- good timing.

I had been there for about and hour and I hear the guy yell, "Crap, this isn't the right window!" I heard him talking on the phone to someone and then he came to tell me the bad news that I already had figured out. Apparently the window that was in the box wasn't correct. The correct window would be brought down from Vegas later that afternoon. Well, I had to run errands for a quilt I am working on and so I was blasting the heater to stay warm and I was just thankful I live in St. George so I didn't have to worry too much about much being stolen out of my windowless car. I still worried and sprinted through the store :).

Later that afternoon I took it back in and the mechanic fixed it up. I worked that night and when driving home from work the rear defroster wasn't working... grr... I swear he still didn't put the back window in. The whole way home my window was frosted over, usually they work really quick. Tomorrow we will bring the car in again and hopefully get the defroster fixed too.

It could be worse so I can't complain, at least it happened this week and not next week when school starts up again. Plus, I really can't complain because I'm working on a quilt for a little girl that is expected to die in a week or two. I'm just grateful to be able to worry about silly things like cars. Death is hard. I'll post pictures of the awesome keepsake quilt later.

Holidays 2010 to 2011!

We had a great Christmas in Idaho this year. It was soo good to see everyone (minus Joy's family and April). I was lacking in picture taking this year... I was just enjoying chillin' and relaxing. We had a really fun Christmas Eve party at my aunt Nancy's house. Nancy's boy, Hayden was the star of entertainment - he sure had us laughing a lot. Hayden, Hannah, and Maverick gave us tickets to a show that was quite hilarious - we were all crammed in Hayden's room laughing our guts out.

Christmas Morning was at my parents house and Nick's family spent it with us. It was fun to see all of his girls - they all have quite the personalities - so cute!

Tilly is adorable and starting to crawl!

Trinity wasn't such a good girl this year, so says her parents, and so Santa pulled a trick on her. They opened a big box and Izzy and Tilly had a pillow pet but Trinity only had an old white pillow. She was so mad and confused and then the water works started and she was bawling in her dad's arms. Nick told her that she needed to me a nice girl and stop crying and Santa has a surprise... so he pulled out the present from Santa.

When she opened her unicorn pillow pet she about hyperventilated in excitement. It was really funny. She wasn't about to let her unicorn go either.

Santa did something fun for alexis this year... he wrapped about 10 boxed inside each other and finally it got to a small box with a new ipod touch! She was super excited. She also got a cricut that was super fun to play with. I want one now for my classroom when I'm a teacher!

It turns out pillow pets were quite the hit this year. All of my aunts girls had one at my Grandparents Christmas party on the Sunday after christmas. It was cute to see them all sitting on them.

I'm going to miss them!

I had a really fun party with the wives of Brad's friends. We did a "Favorite Things" party. We each had a $30 limit total for all 4 gifts and had to buy/make our favorite thing for the 4 other wives. It was really fun and I want to do something like that again! I gave them the keychains I make, recipe to my favorite banana chocolate chip muffins, and lipgloss from Bath and Body Works. The guys came afterwords and had their usual reminiscing party about the good old days. The girls just sit and laugh at them and their funny stories. They got on a huge argument about sports and we decided they need to have their own ESPN Sports Center show, it would be very entertaining. I forgot my camera so no pictures...

It snowed in St. George last night!

We woke up to snow this morning . Wyatt was over early with Kate and Lucas and we went sledding in the park. Shauntel and her family came over and we went to the Desert Hills H.S. field and built snowman and forts. It was fun to play in the snow since Idaho didn't have much this year. By late afternoon you would have never known it snowed - it melted really fast.

Our awesome friends from Stillwater, The Linsenmeyers! VEGAS, ST. GEORGE & SALT LAKE!

They flew into Las Vegas and spent a couple days there. Brad and I picked them up and we went to dinner and stayed at the Luxor, the pyramid hotel. It was a crazy hotel! I forgot my camera so we didn't get any pictures. The highlight of Vegas was the Nike Outlet at the Premium Outlets, North of Vegas. Good thing I've saved up my tip money... we came out with a Santa Clause size bag of stuff! So much fun :)

We took them to St. George and stayed the night here. We showed them the St. George Temple and the rest of town. I had to take them to Down East Outfitters, since there is nothing like that in Oklahoma. Kristin found awesome deals.We took them to the Durangos mexican resturant and then to Frostop for dessert and sweet potato fries! (Harrisons, you better come out soon to try them too!)

We then drove up North to Salt Lake and stayed with our other friends that were in the Stillwater 2nd ward, the Sandovals. They have a really nice house with awesome views of the mountains. Temple square was beautiful and we even got to go to the First Presidency Christmas Devotional in the conference. It was really neat. The lights were so beautiful and the music and talks were amazing.

It was a great weekend - we love our friends!

ONE more week of classes and then ONE week of FINALS!!! The semester is almost over!!

You know I need some more balance in my life if I totally missed the month of October :). This update is for you Coach K!

First of all, our hearts and prayers go out to the Ence Family, especially to our friends Skyler and Alisa. Skyler's (one of Brad's best friends) dad unexpectedly passed away earlier this week. I never knew him, but Brad speaks very highly of Rick and has some great memories to remember with him. I know he is a great loss to their family and the community. At times like these I couldn't be more greatful for the Savior.

On a lighter note, I've been super busy.... life is good though. I had some t-shirt quilt orders recently.

My favorite quilt I have made has to be this one below. A lady from Oklahoma had me make a photo quilt of drawings that kids with Cystic Fibrosis colored. I had the images printed on fabric and I created a the quilt. The quilt is going to be auctioned off... I hope it makes a lot of money for such a good cause. I love t-shirt quilts, but nothing beats a quilt like this...

I brought it out with me to Oklahoma when I visited to give to her so it worked out perfectly. Speaking of Oklahoma, it was so much fun. I didn't take any pictures, dang it, but I had a blast... it was way to busy visiting everyone I felt like I only saw each person for like 2 minutes! Kendria picked me up from the airport and I stayed at her house the first night and we hung out on Friday, can I tell you how much I miss her! I don't thing I will ever meet anyone like her againg... she has the most amazing heart. Anyways, Friday night I helped Natalie and her friend at the walk-around, so much fun... I forgot selling shirts was so fun :). Only with Natalie, she is the most energetic person you will find... love her! Friday night I stayed the night with Nick and Cassie and Saturday we went to the homecoming parade and watched the game with a bunch of friends. I miss all of them! Stillwater was a chapter in our lives that we will always deeply remember. I love it there. Saturday Justin and Kristen took me to OKC to meet up with Natalie so I could help her with her craft show on Sunday and then I flew out Sunday night.

Natalie gave us her new t-shirt.... so comfy and cute. Us girls took pictures in them and I thought this one was funny... our dogs are nuts.

I also had a fun time in Idaho with April visiting family. It was great to see everyone and I can't wait until Christmas. Alexis turned 12! I love that girl, she is so funny. She dressed up as a lamp for Halloween so we helped her make her costume when we were there. I also got to interview my Grandpa Thornton for a history project. It was such a great conversation with him and Grandma. Grandma is having problems with her heart, the family all fasted on Sunday for her so hopefully the doctors are able to find out what is wrong and fix it.

School is going good. Just when I feel like I'm starting to understand Spanish after this last test, La Professora throws a new concept at us and I'm totally lost again. Looks like this weekend will be some more tutoring from Brad. I can't believe I only have one month left for this semester. My other classes are going well. Just busy, busy, busy. It's hard to find time to do things I love, such as blogging and crafting. I decided I need to do something so I can keep sane, so I bought the cutest pattern for visor beanies... will post pictures later.

Thanksgiving is almost here and then Christmas! I love this time of year! It will be weird not having to drive in snow and having 50 degree days. I think I might actually miss the snow... crazy I know. I still have Idaho blood :)

September has FLOWN by... here are some updates of what has happened lately...

I started school at Dixie State :)

(I should be doing homework right now but I can't focus so I turned to the bog) I'm taking 15 credits and it has definitively been an adjustment for me. There have been some meltdowns but I'm just grateful for my awesome husband who calms me down and laughs at how dramatic I can be. Thank goodness I have Brad from my Spanish tutor because Spanish is my hardest class this semester, I feel sooo behind compared to all the other kids who took Spanish throughout all of high school. My History class is a lot of work, two papers a week, but I have learned a lot by his different approach to teaching history. My Education Math class is interesting to say the least. My Education Human Exceptionalities is really great - I love my professor, Dr. Peterson. She is a great teacher and a huge inspiration for all of us "teachers in training". I'm hoping to apply for the Education program in January to be accepted in Fall 2011... it is a two year program. If all goes well I should be done Spring 2013!

We are officially motorcycle endorsed!

This scooter is sweet. It's a 2008 and the lady only had 300 miles on it - we have already doubled the miles. It is in great condition and we loved the fact that it is orange! We had to take a written and driving motorcycle test in order to drive this baby (notice the orange cones - I set up a course to practice for the test - haha, I was nervous I wouldn't pass!). That meant I had to get a Utah Drivers license... here in Utah they make you take a test that was about 50 or so questions. I had to laugh at that because in Oklahoma all they needed to see was your social security and previous license! Anyways, after many trips to the dmv to take all the flipping tests we finally got our motorcycle endorsement and we are loving the scooter. Brad drives it every day to work at his ESL job at Washington Elementary. Brad has some funny stories about the testing but you will just have to ask him :) he might shoot me!

Brad's parents recently remolded their Kitchen... it turned out great and really updated their kitchen!

I'm going to Idaho during my Fall break with April - hooray! Can't wait to see my family - I miss them.

Finally!

I bought this awesome frame at a garage sell in Oklahoma well over a year ago! I loved the frame and I've always wanted a temple pic or a wedding pic in it but the problem was my favorite wedding picture wouldn't crop down into a 20x16 photo without cutting our bodies off or Moroni off. I've also been searching for a temple one since I bought the frame but I never fell in love with one. This has been going on for more than a year and just the other month I started my google search again in hopes of finding something. I did!!!!! And the girl is from Mannan, Idaho! CRAZY! Check out her blog HERE ... she is amazingly talented and I hope her business grows because her work is awesome! I was sooooo happy to find her.

I'm also super excited because my Aunt Jenn has put her photoshop skills into editing my favorite wedding pictures so I can print them on canvas or matted. I haven't seen them yet but I know they are going to be awesome. Next time I go to Idaho I'm going to have my dad help me make a frame. I can't wait! I just need to ask him :)

One last awesome creation thanks to my awesome friend Kristin who did this for her little boy....

I gave my sister Joy a onesie with an applique of a tie for Will and she fell in love with it. She sent me a bunch of onesies to make more and I had her send me some of her husband's tie so I could do this for her. They are much much cuter than the applique ties! Super cute... if you want to know how to make them just let me know. They are super easy... a lot quicker than the appliques!

New Headboard and Movie at Frostop!

We've always wanted a big headboard for our bed so we finally built one! I was a good project and turned out pretty good. Now I just need to find a comforter that matches... :)

Ben Banks the Movie shot scenes at Frostop last week! We stayed there until 2 am for them to finish - it was quite the production. I played an extra serving food to a lady - So if the movie hits the big screens watch for me giving a lady a bag of food at the counter :).

Sal Masekela, host of the X Games on ESPN, is playing a main role in the movie so brad just had to meet him and get a picture with him :). He was super nice - the picture is blurry but it was fun to meet him.

We had such a great week visiting family and friends in Idaho. To start the vacation off we visited Whitney and Brandon and their new baby Ellie. It was really good to see them! Sunday we had a nice bbq with my Brother Shane and his family and with my Uncle Larry's family. We had some great smores and lot's of funny stories! We met up with Kali, my CSI roommate. She got married just last weekend! It was so good to see her. We also met up with another teammate of mine, Ashley - she is married now and we had some yummy milkshakes at Applebees and reminisced about the good times at CSI. Coach Kiester had us over for breakfast - it was delicious and was so great to catch up with her. She is an awesome lady.

Larry let us take out his new boat - super nice of him and we had a blast! Alexis almost got up on the wakeboard! Trinity and Izzy loved the tube until they got sprayed with water - then the bawling began! Brad and I did the driving so we didn't get to take many action pictures. It was super fun and has caused Brad to lust over getting a boat even more :).

We picked fresh strawberries from grandma Thornton's garden and made some yummy jam! The worst part is I left it in Idaho... It will have to wait until I visit again I guess... :(.We went camping at Granite Hot springs in Wyoming for the Thornton Family Reunion. It was soo beautiful and so fun!

Zions Family Reunion

We had the Keddington Family reunion this weekend at Zions National Park. We stayed in awesome cabins which was nice because the weather was freezing for this time of year for southern utah - it was mid 60's and rainy all weekend :(. We missed out on the pool but we went on some good hikes, rode the zipline, mini golfed, volleyball, and overall just had a great time! :) Now I can't wait for Granite Hot Springs in July with the Thornton Family reunion!

GOODBYE POKES - Brad Graduated!!!
He wasn't able to walk during commencement because he flew out to St. George for a job interview .... we took some good pics anyways. I'm so proud of his accomplishments.

We are truly going to miss our best friends, Nick and Cassie. It has been so much fun the last couple of years with them and it won't be the same without them blocks away. I'm going to miss our Sunday evenings together with great desserts, our dog walk/play days, camping, game nights, wii battles, and the countless other great memories. We have major plans to meet up every year though :).

We spent our last weekend in Oklahoma at Lake Tenkiller to get a last boating outing with our boating buddies! I didn't get a group shot but the pic below is my favorite little buddy.... Braxton! We will miss Kristin and Justin so much! So many wakeboarding and camping memories :) I will also miss working in YW with Kristin - we had so much fun planning events!

One of the last nights in Oklahoma we met up with some other best friends in Tulsa for Dinner. Kendria, my co-worker, has been a best friend of mine - I'm going to miss her so much. She is seriously the kindest, most generous lady you can meet - her husband (not in the picture) is exactly the same way as well. I can never thank them enough for the amount of hospitality they showed to me. Natalie and Daniel Bobik are awesome people! I will miss football season selling Cool Chicks Wear Orange t-shirts!! The last 3 football seasons we had so much fun at the booth outside of Boone Pickens Stadium - football won't be the same anymore!

Kendria is a die-hard Oklahoma State Fan - She decked out a Smart car to show her pride! The car's name is Bullet so we had to take some picture of my Bullet in her bullet. (Bullet is the horse's name at OSU's football games).

Pulling out of St. George in the Uhaul! We reserved a 14' truck but the day before the move they informed us that they only had the biggest truck available - the 26 footer! We weren't too happy to be driving a huge truck all the way to Utah but we didn't have to worry about not having enough space for our stuff.My mom and little sister, alexis, came out to help us move. They were sooo much help - my mom is great at packing, as they have built a lot of houses and she has packed a lot of boxes in her life - so it was great to have her help! Thanks mom and lex! The drive consisted of high winds, lots of gas, lots of sore bums, and a lot of "are we there yet"!

We made it and are living in Brad's parents basement until we are settled with job security. School of Ball is going well - check out the website and if you know any kids who play basketball send them to our camps this July! Brad is still searching for that right job and I am currently registering for classes at Dixie State to finish up my education.

Tornadoes in Stillwater and Happy B-Day Brad!

We had an eventful evening. I had signed up to go to the temple but the day before I called the guy in our ward telling him I don't know was I was thinking signing up when we are moving in a week and I have a million things to do and I wouln't be able to make it. Well it was a blessing because there were tornadoes all over and I probably would have driven right in one.

Yesterday around 5pm I was making dinner and brad was playing Tigers Woods on the Wii. I got a phone call from a friend that thought I was going to the temple and calling to tell me to get home cause tornadoes are all around there -thank goodness that wasn't the case. Since we don't have cable we turned on the radio and a tornado was in Oralado, OK which is just about 15 mins west of us. We jetted out of our apartment, left our food on the stove, grabbed bullet and my box that i keep all our of important info and drove to my work on campus. It has a basement and is one of the "safe places" for tornadoes.

While we were there watching TV in the conference room there was this tornado...

They were showing this tornado on tv. It was happening just miles away from our apartment down the highway. Luckily it stayed in fields and didn't hurt anyone. Later a tornado came through a part of Stillwater but I hear it only caused minor damage and mainly to trees.

We are very blessed to not have been hit. I do have to say I'm not so sad we are leaving after that experience! ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAD!!!

Ignore our messy house with boxes and junk everywhere - we are packing up :). We sold our entertainment center and bigger tv... i think we need to get us a bigger tv so we can see the screen! It's kind of hard to read anything on the games.
I got brad Tiger Woods PGA Golf, framed his tassel and diploma, and a new chuck it toy and balls for him to play with bullet. I am so lucky to be married to brad - I couldn't ask for anything else. Love you sweetie!

Tristan is such a good mom - I don't know how she did it with the two active girls and now she is going to have three and she will pull it off with no problem - super mom!

Tilly is tiny but I have to laugh at this picture because nick is 6'7" and has big hands so he really makes her look super small :)

We had such a fun time decorating for our Mad Hatter "Smootie" YW activity combined with 1st ward. We made these pom poms and I thought I would share it with you all. Aren't the girls' paper hats adorable!! Just like the Mad Hatter party minus the tea ;).

Bullet and Young Womens

We had our New Beginnings Program last night. It turned out really well! We have the best girls in our ward and we even honored two of them that completed the program and are working on their honor bee!

Tomorrow we are doing a Dessert Auction for a fundraiser for Girls Camp. I went to wal mart to buy my stuff for my dessert. I got clear plastic wrap to cover the chocolate dipped oreos and when i got home i noticed it was Shrink Wrap stuff so i was thinking crap whit, look at the dang packaging before you buy stuff! But it turned out to be AWESOME STUFF!!! All you do it put your blow dryer to it and it shrinks to the object. I didn't do it too much against the oreos but on the plate it shrinked to every curve - so cool and it looks professional - it made my night! So... i recommend this stuff to everyone - it's in the basket aisle at wal mart.

Bullet learned a new trick too!

One more Bullet spotlight... at 8:30 pm every night he is out like a baby. Even when we are with his best friend, lexi, he completely ignores her and goes to sleep . Life is tough when you are Bullet! haha

I hope you all had as good as weekend as we did. We blew through our Dining out budget by going to Texas Rhodehouse Friday night and then going to Rib Crib (delicious!) on Saturday. I ate way too much but it was fun going with our friends. Looks like the rest of the month will be home cookin delights - ha!

We got Brad a much needed new suit. We found it last weekend and he was really wanting to get it but I'm so glad we waited a week because they put it on an even lower sale price saving us another additional $40! He looks great in it and hopefully it will give him good luck in job interviews to come. I surprised him Sunday morning with a tie to go along with it. Ross - $9.99 and it's a Micheal Kors tie - Awesome find. He surprised me with a rose, chocolate, and a nice card. Needless to say the big bag of peanut butter M&M's are almost gone.

We had fun in Idaho but I think bullet had the most fun. Between chasing my little sisters cats, chasing kids on sleds, getting hit hard by brad on a sled, running up and down the sledding hill, and playing with Trinity and Izzy I would say he had the time of his life. I'm just glad he behaved himself at the Thompson home.

He also won the #1 picture of the trip - I love it!
New Years....
Shane, Shea, and Maverick came over to celebrate with us. We had fun playing Balderdash and Blurt. Great Group games!

We had fun building a fort with the kids....

And they had fun knocking it down!We pulled kids and ourselves on the 4-wheeler! - Thanks Jacksons!
Bullet never is scared of ANYTHING (no lie). So of course he was chasing the 4-wheeler and getting a little to close - but having the time of his life. Brad was on the sled and ran over him (in the sled)... it must have hit him hard because he wasn't chasing the 4-wheeler near to how he was before the incident... probably a good thing he got hit by the sled and not the 4-wheeler!
We built A GIANT Snowman... we had to use 2- 2x4's just to roll the middle ball up!

Then our vacation was over and we had a long 19 hour drive back to Stillwater.

Christmas at the Garretts!

We has so much fun spending 2 weeks in St. George! All of Brad's family was there, besides Lou - he is in Singapore on a LDS mission.

White Elephant Gift Christmas EVE party was lots of fun. The limit was $5 but of course Brad's parents went way over. Shauny ended up with movie tickets and restaurant gift cards! I got a rubix cube and brad ended up with "Bod" Spray. Jeanette made yummy homemade soup for Christmas eve dinner.

Brad's little sister, Alex, got a dog! His name is Cooper and he is a basset hound. He is adorable and now the pack of dogs are 3. They were crazy so it was nice to have good weather to stick them outside.

Christmas Morning!!! Brad and I both got our regular Christmas shoes. We both got some puma tennis shoes and I got a pair of black flats. I got brad his Christmas watch - this year he wanted a white one. I found an awesome deal on a fossil one so he was super stoked. Brad got me an awesome jewelery box so my jewelery isn't spread out on my dresser everywhere - I love it! I made brad a book from Shutterfly on his mission. He never got his mission pictures printed so it turned out great.

What did we get Brad's Parents?!?!

An Awesome frame of Andra's 3 boy's mission areas. Brad and I put our heads together and with me on the computer and brad helping me with ideas I think it turned out great. - Thanks to Cassie for the original idea!! - I'm so glad his parents liked it.

After everyone cleaned up after Christmas morning and while dinner was cooking we noticed people out in the golf course just walking on. We were sooo curious if it was closed and a "free" golf day.... well we called the golf course and they were closed so we grabbed our clubs and hit away! Brad and his dad were wishing they would have known sooner so they could have been playing all morning! It was fun to golf for FREE! (We also went golfing with brad's friend, Andy and his wife earlier that week - brad was in heaven!)

While we were in Utah we also put on School of Ball's first Volleyball Camp! www.schoolofball.com It turned out great and now Shauntell is running a league/clinic on thursday nights. School of Ball has great potential and if Brad ends up teaching it hopefully will be a great summer job for him.

We had a great time in St. George but time flew then we were off to Idaho for New Years and my Dads birthday!

Thanksgiving 2009 and Nauvoo!

We had the best Thanksgiving. We decided to visit Brad's good High School friend, Matt and his wife Kenzie out in Kirksville, Missouri. It was a long drive due to Thanksgiving traffic, construction, and a bad wreck... but we made it and it was totally worth it!

We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with some of their friends. It was nice to not have to prepare anything! I was very Thankful for that this year!

On Saturday we drove about 1 1/2 hours to Carthage Jail and then Nauvoo, Illinois. It was really neat. We went at a great time of the year because we were able to be the only people in each building so it was very personalized.

Carthage Jail was a special place. The spirit was really strong there- it was a calm, sorrowful spirit - it is hard to explain. It just seemed super still and quite, a very reverent place to show our respects to Joseph and Hyrum. It was really neat.

We were able to do a temple session in the Nauvoo Temple - what a beautiful temple! It was absolutely gorgeous and I was amazed at how big it is. It was for sure the best part of the Nauvoo experience. Brad and I were the witness couple and it was a tiny group of less than 20.

This picture is across the street from the main entrance of the Temple. That is the Mississippi in the background. It looks more like a lake!

This picture is neat because this is the point where the saints crossed the Mississippi River headed west and they were forced out of the city they built up, Nauvoo. The Trail of Tears, a path walking towards the Mississippi, was neat. They had quote boards following the whole trail. I took a couple pictures - they are in the slideshow. Again the spirit there was just a calm, quite, peaceful reverence. Amazing.

I was a neat experience to learn more about the MANY sacrifices the Saints before us made. It was a great time of year to visit because I am sure Thankful for Joseph and Hyrum Smith, and the countless number of men, women, and children who sacrificed their lives for the Gospel.

Cowboy Basketball is HERE!

We went to the Women and Men games last night at Gallagher-Iba Arena. It was a nice change to be able to watch a game with Brad :). I'm sure he was wishing he was out there playing but the cards haven't been dealt that way so that's how it is. Hey, a FREE Education is more than we can ask for.

The girls were fun to watch. They have some really good players and it just made me realize how out of shape I am. Oh how I wish I could still run a suicide in 30 something seconds. haha Keep DREAMING

The boys looked decent. They had some really GREAT moments but some SICK moment’s too :) typical exhibition game.

The new players that I love so far:

31 Pilgrim - I wish we would have had him last year!!! I can't remember any of our big men ever pulling double doubles! He has a good head, unlike moses. We need that! Someone who goes out there and worries about himself and plays ball, all Marshall is worried about is who is touching him and getting their arms off him

14 Penn - Nice to have a switch up from Byron, he pulled some nice moves and it will be fun to watch him play the awesome big 12 point guards. It will also be nice to see Keaton play a true 2 guard instead of being the back-up point guard.

21 Gully - HE IS a MINY TERRELL!!!! He is only a freshman but I think he has tons of potential. He was really scrappy and I like that.

Those are the guys who stuck out to me but I think our freshman have tons of potential – as well as the team as a whole. This year might be a little shaky because of lack of experience but I have high hopes.

Obi made a pass last night that brightened my day! Hahahahahaha! He chucked it down the floor WAY TOO FAR and it bounced out of bounds. It was a classic OBI pass that I haven't seen for awhile so it was nice.

We got a kick out of Coach Ford. There was one timeout when he was SCREAMING AT BRIGGS (the do-it-all manager kid), “BOARD, BOARD, WHERE IS MY BOARD!!!!” Brad was yelling – Binky, Binky, Give me my Binky!!! Ford can't get anything for himself - pretty hilarious. But, he does a good job having Briggs and Joey being his "go-to guys".

I love this time of year. Only two more home football games to focus on and then it's all BASKETBALL!!!! :)

We've been married for 2 years!

This year Brad surprised me with a little one night get-away for our anniversary. He took me to the Arcadian Inn Bed & Breakfast in Edmond, OK. Neither of us have ever been to a bed and breakfast but this was FABULOUS!!!!!!!

It was so personalized. When we first arrived our names were on the front porch...

They took us on a tour and we were welcomed to the "Garden Room".

Our names were everywhere... There were these cards in the bathrobes...

Breakfast was awesome!!! They even had a personalized note as well...

We more than enjoyed our stay and we recommend it to anyone. They have other rooms that are decorated fun and "grandma whimsical" as well. They even give you coupons and bath salts to take home.

Lake Skiatook

We went camping/boating to Lake Skiatook near Tulsa. It was so much fun. Cassie's parents have the nicest boat, it is actually classified as a yacht. It is probably a little big for ski sports but it is pretty dang nice when you can cruise across waves and choppy water going 55! Anyways, the wake was huge for wakeboarding so needless to say, brad and I still have headaches and sore necks from wiping out. These are the best pics we got over the weekend.... I need to be better about taking pictures.

I should have gotten pictures of the camp groud. Cassie's parents tent was so decked out. AC unit inside, rug, make shift side table and all!!! We were lucky to have an ac unit in our tent... it would have been a sleepless night. Bullet, Kia, and Lex (all dogs) had the best time ever as well. The three of them are hillarious! Yep, i know, i should have taken pictures... oh well. Just imagine.

Caleb Spady was a baseball fan to the end NewsOK.com

Caleb Spady was so excited about tonight.

He was getting a chance to go to the RedHawks game, and that was no small thing for the 11-year-old baseball junkie from Hinton. Nothing could be better than a summer evening at the ballpark.

Caleb Spady, right, got to spend time with Angels player Reggie Willits, a former OU star, at his Make-A-Wish trip to Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas.

But watching the game wasn’t the only thing on his agenda. So was throwing out the first pitch.

On a night the minor-league club is promoting cancer awareness, the boy who inspired hundreds in his hometown, his home state and beyond was supposed to make the ceremonial throw. His three brothers will throw out the first pitch in his memory instead.

Caleb died on Tuesday.

In the world of sports, we often talk about heartbreak. Dropped passes. Missed shots. Botched opportunities.

This, however, is real heartbreak.

Caleb’s family and friends will gather next week for his funeral, but tonight, many will be at The Brick for a memorial like no other. They will wear bright yellow shirts with "Caleb’s Crew” on the front. They will share stories. They will laugh and cry and smile and grieve.

And they will cheer for the boy who became a real-life hero.

"We always thought his fans would be 10-year-old diehard Rangers fans in about 15 years,” his mother, Kim, wrote in an e-mail. "But it all came too quickly.”

A little over a year ago, Caleb was diagnosed with cancer. It was on his brain stem, and as serious as that sounds, it was worse. Caleb had a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, which means the cancer cells were sprinkled like grains of sand within his brain stem.

There was no way to operate.

Last fall, the Spadys shared the story of their Make-A-Wish trip to Rangers Ballpark. Caleb had always been a Texas Rangers fan, and for a day, he got to be a Ranger. He had his own locker, fully stocked with gear. He hung out in the clubhouse, took batting practice, went through warm-ups and even took the lineup card to home plate.

Caleb left Arlington with a bag stuffed with memorabilia and a mind packed with memories.

There have been many more memories since then. Being on the sidelines during an Oklahoma State football game, then standing with the team afterward to sing the alma mater. Getting onto the field after the final Bedlam baseball game at The Brick and posing for a picture with Cowboy coach Frank Anderson. Going to a Thunder game via police escort.

There were the birthday cards that came by the hundreds. Bryant Reeves sent one. So did Mike McGraw and Dave Hunziker and both OSU basketball teams.

There was also the December afternoon that Caleb and his Hinton teammates went to Lookeba-Sickles for a fifth-grade basketball game. Before tip-off, the Lookeba-Sickles players and coaches presented Caleb with a basketball signed by all of them.

"The rivalry between Hinton and L-S goes way back many years, and some say it begins in grade school,” principal and coach Mike Davis wrote in a note to the Spadys. "But in sports, there is always something bigger.

"I mentioned to my boys that Caleb might get to play in our game. … My boys wanted to do something for Caleb.”

Then, he penned words that will break your heart.

"We hope to play against him for many more years.”

Caleb had ups and downs since the first of this year. Sometimes, he struggled to walk, but even as recently as a month ago, he walked to the snow-cone stand several blocks from his house. Throwing out the first pitch didn’t seem like such a far-fetched notion that day.

Two Mondays ago, Caleb and his father, Ken, drove to Memphis to start an experimental treatment trial. Caleb was tired and groggy the entire time, but Ken figured the drive had just worn him out. He suspected a good night’s sleep would help.

It didn’t.

Caleb continued to deteriorate, and by that next day, there was a worry that he might not make it back to Oklahoma to see his family again.

If that weren’t enough, his mom was in the hospital, too. The day Caleb and Ken left for Memphis, Kim had surgery to remove a cancerous growth in her colon. She survived breast cancer several years ago, but then in late June, she learned that she had colon cancer.

Job had nothing on the Spady family.

"I am hesitant to say anything about our faith at this point, as it seems so trite and almost disingenuous,” Kim wrote on Caleb’s Web site earlier this month. "But I do want to say that our faith is not shaken by all of this. We know God is in control and has a plan. We surely do not like the looks of that plan right now, but we do trust him.”

Indeed, Job had nothing on the Spadys.

Kim went back to the hospital Tuesday morning for emergency surgery to remove more of her colon, and back at home, Ken decided to give Caleb a bath.

There, in his father’s arms, Caleb died.

If you happen to be heading to the RedHawks game tonight, be sure to get there in time to see the Spady boys throw out the first pitch. Be sure to remember their brother, his battle and his example. Be sure to stand and cheer and maybe even say a little prayer.

Caleb won’t be there tonight, but like it was so many times before on a baseball diamond, his spirit will be alive and well.

We were debating whether to put Bullet on some meds to knock him out but we are sure glad we didn't. He slept the ENTIRE way to and from Utah!!! It was incredibly nice and we got super lucky.

SUNDAY WRESTLING MATCH
The first Sunday we got there it was Louis's Farewell Sunday. He gave a great talk and he is going to be a great missionary in Singapore and Malaysia. After Church Brad's nephew, Kody, had a a blast wrestling with Bullet.

One day we took Jade, Shauntell's GREAT Dane, and Bullet to the river to play. It was so funny seeing the two of them play. Jade is a horse compared to Bullet.

THE POOL
Wyatt and Jeannette have a pool so a lot of time was spent there. Brad found a new pool buddy as well, Lucas. Whitney and Brandon also came to visit!!!! That was a blast!!!

If you have never been skimboarding you need to try it! Brad got it down really quick, even Bullet was going crazy trying to jump on the board every time someone would throw theirs.

GUNS
Tyler took us shooting because he has every type of gun you can imagine. I guess serving in the Marines and now being a cop in Vegas can get you addicted. Bullet was the funniest there. We totally forgot to think about his natural instincts. He is a hunting dog so he was going absolutely crazy when we had to hold him down while we were shooting. You will just have to watch the video....

In Two hours and 15 minutes we are leaving for a 18 1/2 hour drive to St. George, UT! Brad's little brother is leaving on a mission to Singapore/Malaysia so we are going to spend two weeks out there!!!! HOORAY FOR VACATION!!!!!

Hail, Boating, Poor Bullet, and a new friend...

This morning I was working the front desk at the Wellness Center. It was a cloudy morning with 20% chance of rain, typical day here. Well around 9:15 the sky started rapidly changing to something like this.... (these storm pics are from an email from a friend)

A girl I work with came up to me and said you better go outside and get your car under a tree, a storm is coming in. I did, and luckily so because this is what came next.....

There were reports of hail measuring up to 3 1/2 inches!!!!

Boating

Last weekend we went boating with Cassie's parents. They have a really nice boat, there is even a bathroom! It was really fun and you can see Brad and Nick had a hard time staying on the tube :)

Poor Bullet...

Bullet was fixed this Wednesday. The poor little guy. The night we brought him home he didn't even want to move, he was whimpering every time he did move as well. He is doing a lot better now but has to wear the E Collar so he doesn't lick or chew the incision avoiding infection. It is so funny, he gets walking fast and will run into the walls! He is getting used to it and his toys have become challenges for him.

Sexy Lexie is here. :) :) Nick and Cassie finally got their dog, a Mini Australian Sheppard. Too bad bullet can't run and play yet... he will just have to wait to play with his soon to be new best friend.

Idaho Weekend!

I flew in to Idaho Wednesday night for my Grandparents 50th Anniversary! Congratulations Grandpa and Grandma! I figured I might was well make a surprise out of it. We surprised my dad, Alexis and my grandparents. I had a blast and here are some of the things we did...

Alexis's Kitten Skittles had baby kittens so we made a cute picture frame. (yes she was only 9 months old when she had the kittens!)

My mom put us to work making a teacher appreciation day door decoration for Alexis's teacher. It was really fun drawing the heads of the kids.

Then we were off to Salt Lake on Saturday for Alexis's dance competition!

She did great but unfortuneltly it was pouring rain so we didn't get to stay to ride the rides :(

After we went to the hotel and stuck our soaking wet clothes in the dryer while we ate lunch we went bolwing and minature golfing.

The indoor minuture golfing was awesome... The pictures didn't turn out but there were three different themes: underwater, jungle, and dinosaurs! The painting were amazing.

Terrible Two's...

six weeks....
4 months = Terrible 2's in Dog years supposedly...Our precious bullet is growing up. He is in his terrible two's. He is fully potty trained but there are some days his little devil side comes and he will stare at you and then pee on the floor. You would think he would learn after the punishment he gets! Dang dog :) He also, being the terrier that he is, loves people. We can't let him off a leash or out of our hands outside when someone new is near because he will sprint over to them and jump and lick them to death. It might be cute for people who like dogs but I don't like it and I'm sure people don't appreciate it. We are trying to get it through his head that he has to calm down. He has selective memory and can only hear when he chooses too. Warning, if you knock on our door be prepared for some crazy dog to be flipping around in our arms trying to get out and love on you.

Also, this last week I took him to the vet to get his last puppy shots. The minute we arrived he was freaking out with excitement. He was on his leash and about choking himself to death. I am just grateful he isn't a pee-er when he is excited. He wouldn't hold still long enough to get his weight so it was somewhere around 10 lbs. When they took his temperate he had a fever and the only thing we could conclude is that his heart had been racing so fast because he is a spaz that he caused the fever. Anyways, he is a great pup but he is insane over people!!!

Basically... I'm bored, brad is watching some game on t.v. and bullet is chewing on a bone... Happy Saturday! April has almost come and gone, i can't believe it!

Easter Weekend

I am so mad for not taking any pictures but we had a great Easter weekend!

First off, I'm either really dumb or I am just going to blame it on my parents...:) Embarrassed to say, the term "Good Friday" was something new for me this year. I guess growing up in Idaho and being around the LDS religion my whole life, Good Friday was left out. Since we don't focus on the death of Jesus Christ but rather the resurrection and that He Lives, "Good Friday" at my house was never really mentioned (or else I never paid attention). I mean, don't let me confuse you that i don't know what happened on "Good Friday", that's not it at all, I just never have heard the term Good Friday.

Living in Oklahoma has really been great for me because it has opened my eyes and perspective of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love all the missionary experiences there are out here. It is nice having neighbors and friends that have the strongest testimony of our Savior and live their life full of service and giving. I'm so grateful for the knowledge I have about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I'm also extremely grateful that I was able to gain a body and live in this wonderful world with the saving power of the atonement witch was made possible by our Savior.

Saturday we had a really nice time outside with Bullet and his new best friend Kiya. Cassie's Dad came down for Easter weekend and brought his dog Kiya, a Miniature Australian Sheppard. It was the third time they have played together and they love it. We fished at our pond (didn't catch anything, but it was fun), played hide and seek with Bullet in the trees, and went to Eskimo Joes. Sunday we had an awesome Easter dinner. Cassie's dad brought a delicious ham and we had my favorite Won Ton Chicken Salad, yummy mashed potatoes, and biscuits. I ate way to much just with the real food and then on top of that I ate enough desert to last a year. Needless to say, it's my goal to work out every day this week. :)

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend as well. What a great time to reflect on the Savior.

Our day started off with me making heart shaped french toast for brad. It was a scrumptious breakfast. I cooked up 3/4 of a package of bacon as well. I had two strips and brad had the rest!!!!! Now he wonders why his stomach has been KILLING all day, so bad he stayed home from church.... crazy kid, the bacon got the best of him.

Brad surprised me with some pretty flowers, jewelery, candy and a funny card. I got Brad a body pillow because he sleeps with 5 pillows while I sleep with one and it drives me crazy because when i wake up in the middle of the night and look to see what time it is I can't see over the mountain of pillows.

and his name is BULLET!

Brad has been wanting a dog forever. I finally gave in and we are really excited for this new little guy. He is a Jack Russell Terrier. They are really smart dogs that require a lot of attention and exercise. I'm excited because when he gets older i want to start running outdoors again. Brad is excited because now he can wrestle the dog and not me, eliminating fights :). He is the cutest little thing.

We picked him up at 6:00, bathed him, played with him, he ate, went potty and (uncle) nick and (aunt) cassie came over to meet the new guy. It's now 10:30 and he has been asleep since 8:00. Brad woke him up once and took him out to do his business. We were hoping he would stay up a little longer but Bullet just wanted to climb up on us and sleep. He climbed on brad's lap and was out. We tried to get him to stay up but he is stinking tired. Hopefully he doesn't wake up at 4:00 am!!!

Thanks to aunt Jen, while I was on Christmas break in Idaho she taught me how to make these awesome little hats!!! I'm going to be selling them with Cool Chicks Wear at this upcoming Affair of the Heart in Oklahoma City in a couple weeks. I found some sweet orange fuzzy yarn that I thought was really fun. I hope people like them :)

The past week I've been working on this quilt for Coaches vs Cancer. Everyone on the committee brought in their old OSU t-shirts and we made it into an awesome quilt! It is currently getting machine quilted by a lady. We are going to be displaying it in Gallagher at the games and it will be open up to "chances". So come buy some... I'm pretty sure they are going to be one for $5, 3 for $10, and 5 for $20. I hope it raises a lot of money because it all goes directly to cancer research in Oklahoma. Spread the word that in a couple weeks pay attention at the games!

I was so proud of my first crochet blanket I had to post a picture of it. (I don't think it turned out too bad since i just learned to crochet over christmas) I am sending it off to Danna, my friend who just had her first baby girl!!! She is a doll. I couldn't resist making some cute little hats with the leftover yarn either.

Well, Christmas break brought us a lot to think about for Brad's future. Brad was planning on graduating this May. The opportunity was brought up to transfer to Utah University and go to Grad School while playing ball. We were really excited and thought that was what we were going to do. Well it turns out it would be almost impossible for Brad to graduate in May and therefore he wouldn't be able to transfer. Well the Lord works in mysterious ways. Soon after, (meaning like hours) Marilyn (athletic advisor) mentioned to Brad that he could continue going to school this next year on full scholarship, room and board without having to be a part of basketball at all! We were both in shock and didn't know whether to believe it. The deal is, if an athlete can't graduate in 4 academic years the program has to scholarship him the 5th year since the sport was the hold up on the amount of credits they can take. YIPEE! Our prayers were answered and Brad will be going to school here one more year. It will work out for the best... he will graduate in Business Management with a minor in Marketing PLUS a minor in Spanish PLUS get his pre req classes for Radiology Tech. We will be applying to a variety of programs here in Oklahoma and Utah for another two year program. If all goes well brad will be done with school in another 3 years! He's in for a ride :)

what a GREAT holiday break!

This year Brad and I went to Idaho for Christmas. We flew out on the Sunday before Christmas. We were lucky to even land in Idaho Falls because of the crazy weather they have been having. We made it safe and sound with only little delays.

I didn't even get any pictures on christmas day... I don't know what I was thinking. That's okay though the ones I took are still fun.

Brad had to come back to Oklahoma on the 26th and he called me when he made it to the tulsa airport telling me he doesn't have the keys to the car (they were in my purse!). I felt so bad, anyways, I got ahold of some good friends, kendria and brad and they drove him half way to stillwater where Nick and Cassie drove in half way to take him the rest. Thank goodness for good friends! Thanks guys!

To add to car fiascos when I got back in on the 30th I was welcomed to a dead car. I found the shuttle people to ask if they can help. No problem, minutes later we got the car jump started but then the car alarm went off and we couldn't get it to turn off. After unplugging the fuse it finally turned off and I was off. I pulled up and the tire hit something so I got out of the car to check my tires. What do you know, the car alarm went off again and I found that I only hit a can of soda and my tire was okay. But then the car died again! I had to find the people again to start my car. As soon as we got the car alarm off and it was started I started driving and didn't stop until I got home. Man it was a mess! To end the day the football team didn't have a great day and lost to Oregon.

Christmas was a blast though. My parents are awesome. They just sold their house and are currently renting an old farm house. It was kind of fun having Christmas in an old squeaky house with a basement my brother can't even stand up straight in. We had some fierce pingpong games and during a match my dad broke one on the lights with his arm! My dad and brad barely cleared the cealing but my 6'6 brother didn't have the same luck :).

We were all just grateful they found a house to rent because we wouldn't have squeezed into an apartment with all of us. I love my family and it was great to spend time with aunts, uncles, grandma and grandpa, and all my brothers and sisters besides joy and her family.

I hope you all had a great Christmas!

Happy New Year! I'm excited for the adventures of 2009! Who knows where or what we will be doing in 6 months... :) I wish I knew!

ALEXIS!

Lexi is ten years younger than me and there is no one in between so she is goign to be an only child for a long time - about 8 more years. I remember the night of our wedding as we were driving off to the airport I was bawling because I felt so bad for Alexis. Brad was probably thinking, "who did I marry?!"

Lex is probably the best friend you could have. She has so many "best friends" in school and I know why. She lets her personality shine whoever she is around and she can get along with anyone. So this post is dedicated to her... who i get to see Sunday!

O' Christmas Tree!

We love our $20 tree we purchased last year. It stayed in good shape all packed up and we've gotten our money's worth already! Our stockings that I made last year are still hanging in there also. I had to put some plastic sacks in them so they wouldn't flop down because of the material I used. They do the job though :). By the looks of things i am done with Brad's Christmas shopping besides little things for his stocking. I guess he's been a good kid this year :) We are going to Tulsa this weekend with some good friends, the Harrison's. Since Stillwater only has Wal-Mart it will be nice to go to a Target to get a mix up on products! Hopefully brad can find everything he has in mind for me because he doesn't have much time left... We leave for Idaho on the 21st and Brad has to be back the 26th but i'm staying till the 30! I'm super excited.

Anyways, at each spot he had a friend there to give me the next clue. The last stop was the temple. I couldn't find him then I finally spotted him at the very top of the stairs! (his parents were hiding out in the visitor's center taking pictures!)

New Scoot, Lesson Learned!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything on our fun purchase about a month ago!

Actually, I know why... It was such a headache I am just barley beginning to enjoy it. We learned allot from this purchase. Brad and I have never purchased a used motor vehicle or any motor vehicle in that matter so we were new to the business. We bought the bike from some hicks in the middle of no where and it hadn't been registered since 06'. Well that piece of info didn't even phase us and everything else about the bike was GREAT and the price was awesome. We purchased the scoot and when we went to transfer the title the lady said, "oh man, this is going to be pricey!" She said since it hasn't been registered since 06' you have to cover the costs. She wrote us a receipt of all the fines and past fees over two years and said why don't you go talk to the seller. Anyways, the total extra fees came to about $300. I called the lady and she had her husband call me. Lets just say he was so rude I was crying after I got off the phone. Anyways, after MUCH yelling and arguments they finally sent us $100. I guess that was better than nothing and it all worked out because it made up for the sweet deal we were getting in the first place. Brad loves the scooter and I love not having to make so many trips with our one car! Too bad it's not ORANGE!

IS AWESOME! April has dilligently spent all of her spare time fighting for prop 8. For now it's over and she has been a huge light in my life. April kept all her friends and family up to date during the whole thing via email. I would try calling her the past month and no joke, she wouldn't answer and she later emailed everyone saying sorry she can't chit-chat with anyone now cause she is super busy with prop 8. She meant that, and her hard work paid off.

I've been the biggest SLACKER about posting lately. I stay caught up with other people's blogs but I haven't found time to blog myself :). I have been crazy busy with work, my little sewing business, and helping Natalie with her business.

Two weekends ago was homecoming, WOW what a fun and crazy weekend! Friday night was the annual homecoming walkaround. If you missed the walk check it out... they did a great job this year. For those of you who don't know what it is... the frat houses work on this for months... they glue tissue paper in chicken fence (pomping). IT's amazing!

(it's really long... so just skip through)

I helped Natalie and her sister and mom sell at the walk around. It was crazy busy the whole time... we sold a TON of shirts! That night I hurried over with Tyson and Kristen to the Homecoming hoops to watch the mens and women's team play. Poor brad, looks like he won't ever get to play in homecoming hoops :(. It was great and they guys did well.

Then that Saturday the Football team beat Baylor! We set up two booths that day and the guy who randomly set up his booth the week before through the biggest fit ever becuase we took "his spot". He was fired up and was yelling in Natalies mom's face. It was so embarrasing for him. He calmed down eventually and just found another spot.

This past weekend I met Natalie down in OKC to keep her company at the Affair of the Heart craft show. There was TONS of people! It was great and Natalie even bought be the CUTEST purse for game days.

Anyways, that's what i've been up to.

Oh yeah... we took brad to the city last week to get another bone scan that was more advanced. They didn't see anything that the haven't already seen so that's good news. If the coaches don't rush him we are hoping he should be back end of Decemeber. But now brad is saying that his other shoulder is having problems! I told brad, well you might as well get it taken care of now while OSU is paying for it! By the rate this kid is going I might just be a widow! - No we are really bummed out and I just PRAY that he will be able to play in one game!
