This Kid needs a new Body!

Brad is in a boot.

He has had shin splints all summer long and these first weeks of school and ball has just made it worse. Dr. Pascal, who operated on his shoulder, looked at it and he thinks it's a fracture. Brad is going to the hospital today to get a bone scan. Most likey it is a fracture, which means he will have to stay completly off it until October, only being able to swim.
I just hope he will be able to be a TRUE POKE and play basketball for OSU! He is really really bummed out and is so frustrated. Getting in and out of shape constantley IS NOT fun an he is sick of it. This kid needs a new frame! But for whatever reason the Lord has brought us out to Oklahoma and we know this is our place to be for now.

we might not be as fast as this kid...

but we sure had fun!

I would say it's pretty good that I still killed them with Brad yelling in my face the whole time! He was just mad that he couldn't beat a girl :)

We really did catch some fish! I swear

My mom and little sister were came out to visit and help get my buisness started. One evening we decided to go fishing. It must have been the right time of day or something but Alexis was the first one to catch a baby blue gill, then I caught a bigger blue gill. Of course we had to rub it in Brad's face becuase he hadn't caught anything yet, and he was fishing the "proper" way. All me and my sis were doing was dragging our line right by the dock. :)
As Brad casted his line out he mentioned how he didn't want to catch a Catfish because they have teeth and are just nasty. What do you know, one second after he had somthing on the line, and it was big! He realed the honker of a fish in and guess what, it was a catfish! -serves him right!

Well, being he prepared fisherman we were... we didn't bring scissors or pliers. The hook was clear back in the catfish so I ran to the other side of the lake to our apartment to grab something to cut the line. The poor fish...

I wish we would have brought a camera that night. My mom took pictures on her phone but to our luck, she dropped her phone in the toilet and it broke! so the pictures are the next 3 days of us trying to catch another fish while the camera was there... we didn't catch any :(

New Adventures... New Business...

http://whitness-creations.blogspot.com/

YIPEE! I am just filing out the papers to start a DBA business!
Here's the whole story...
I work my second job with an AWESOME lady and HUGE OSU fan, Kendria Cost (marketing coordinator here at the wellness center). Just over a month ago we were talking about a quilt she was going to make. She didn't know how and I offered to help. I showed her a pic of the OSU quilt I made last summer and she loved. Anyways the simple conversation turned into a business and she gave me the inspiration to go for it. Gratefully, she and her husband have helped me out a TON to get everything started.
My mom is in Denver right now and she is arriving here tonight and for the rest of the week to help me get a good start on the quilts and to help me get "official". -THANKS MOM- Eventually, depending on the success I might venture out of quilts and make other fun things. The blog is totally a DRAFT and prices are not set in stone.
Big thanks to the awesome Natalie Bobik for letting me sell and take orders at her booth while I help her sell her "Cool Chicks Wear" at the football games and homecoming.
I'm way excited and I can't wait until HOMECOMING!!! Wish me luck!

New Family member...

and his name is NUTS.

It was my birthday on the 30th and I had a GREAT one! My family and friends are awesome and I got lots of cards and phone calls. With some of the cash I got I knew exactly what I wanted to get... a fish! - I love them -

So here he is...

pic below... Nuts like to chase the baby goldfish, the best is when they all gang up and start to chase him.

The name process was simple...
As we were examining our options at the fish department and we saw this little dude pestering all the huge goldfish... he wouldn't relax and he was swimming up a storm. He was chasing, biting, and giving the other fish a run for their money. We were dying laughing and so we took him home with some little goldfish to accompany him.
Brad also got me an awesome new blender! I was so excited... my blender broke back in January and I was using a "one-legged" blender. About 2 months ago it pooped and I have been getting a workout using a wooden spoon for everything... made me apprecitate the olden times :). Butter and sugar is hard to cream by hand! If this baby breaks i'm getting a kitchen aid for sure - no questions asked!
