Love Her...
Lexi is ten years younger than me and there is no one in between so she is goign to be an only child for a long time - about 8 more years. I remember the night of our wedding as we were driving off to the airport I was bawling because I felt so bad for Alexis. Brad was probably thinking, "who did I marry?!"
Lex is probably the best friend you could have. She has so many "best friends" in school and I know why. She lets her personality shine whoever she is around and she can get along with anyone. So this post is dedicated to her... who i get to see Sunday!

New Scoot, Lesson Learned!
Actually, I know why... It was such a headache I am just barley beginning to enjoy it. We learned allot from this purchase. Brad and I have never purchased a used motor vehicle or any motor vehicle in that matter so we were new to the business. We bought the bike from some hicks in the middle of no where and it hadn't been registered since 06'. Well that piece of info didn't even phase us and everything else about the bike was GREAT and the price was awesome. We purchased the scoot and when we went to transfer the title the lady said, "oh man, this is going to be pricey!" She said since it hasn't been registered since 06' you have to cover the costs. She wrote us a receipt of all the fines and past fees over two years and said why don't you go talk to the seller. Anyways, the total extra fees came to about $300. I called the lady and she had her husband call me. Lets just say he was so rude I was crying after I got off the phone. Anyways, after MUCH yelling and arguments they finally sent us $100. I guess that was better than nothing and it all worked out because it made up for the sweet deal we were getting in the first place. Brad loves the scooter and I love not having to make so many trips with our one car! Too bad it's not ORANGE!

Update
Two weekends ago was homecoming, WOW what a fun and crazy weekend! Friday night was the annual homecoming walkaround. If you missed the walk check it out... they did a great job this year. For those of you who don't know what it is... the frat houses work on this for months... they glue tissue paper in chicken fence (pomping). IT's amazing!
(it's really long... so just skip through)
I helped Natalie and her sister and mom sell at the walk around. It was crazy busy the whole time... we sold a TON of shirts! That night I hurried over with Tyson and Kristen to the Homecoming hoops to watch the mens and women's team play. Poor brad, looks like he won't ever get to play in homecoming hoops :(. It was great and they guys did well.
Then that Saturday the Football team beat Baylor! We set up two booths that day and the guy who randomly set up his booth the week before through the biggest fit ever becuase we took "his spot". He was fired up and was yelling in Natalies mom's face. It was so embarrasing for him. He calmed down eventually and just found another spot.
This past weekend I met Natalie down in OKC to keep her company at the Affair of the Heart craft show. There was TONS of people! It was great and Natalie even bought be the CUTEST purse for game days.
Anyways, that's what i've been up to.
Oh yeah... we took brad to the city last week to get another bone scan that was more advanced. They didn't see anything that the haven't already seen so that's good news. If the coaches don't rush him we are hoping he should be back end of Decemeber. But now brad is saying that his other shoulder is having problems! I told brad, well you might as well get it taken care of now while OSU is paying for it! By the rate this kid is going I might just be a widow! - No we are really bummed out and I just PRAY that he will be able to play in one game!

Sugarland!
Enjoy the pics!
There was one part in the concert where they said they had a surprise for us.... Then Bush had this guitar in his hands swinging it around. I thought he was going to smash it or something. Jennifer asked Bush to tell everyone what the surprise was. He said real quit in the microphone... "Does anyone want a guitar?!" The crowd went wild as he teased the floor.... He and Jennifer signed the guitar all over it. Then he ran to the very back and gave it to a girl who was freaking out! It was awesome! :)

CVC - Men's Turn!
Tulsa, Okla. -
Oklahoma State’s Cowboy Basketball team made a trip to The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis to visit children’s oncology patients this past Tuesday afternoon, a multi-annual event the coaches and players participate in as part of the Coaches vs. Cancer campaign.
Coach Travis Ford, along with the players, spent two hours visiting with the children, taking photographs and distributing various donated OSU items after signing them.
The visit is coordinated in conjunction with the OSU Coaches vs. Cancer Campaign, which is an American Cancer Society fundraising event. Currently, the OSU CvC campaign ranks first in the Big 12, first in the High Plains division, and in the top-10 nationally in dollars raised. The OSU CvC and former coach Eddie Sutton have been recognized nationally with awards from the American Cancer Society.
In the past five years, OSU’s Coaches vs. Cancer campaign has raised over $600,000 for the fight against cancer.

1. Briefly describe something stupid that you've done:
I’ve done many stupid things in my teen years but here’s one that can actually be laughed at!
When I was a freshman I was really anxious to drive. It was tax season so my mom was working. When I got home from school I had until about 5:30 till my dad came home. My brother would come home after school but then he would leave and go do his thing. My friend Camille lived just a couple miles away from me. I knew how to drive so it seamed like a harmless idea to go pick her up and drive around. So, what do you know, I would take the “Love Truck” (our beater old GMC) out for a drive. It was hard to start but I got it down. I would pick up Camille, then we would drive out in the country passing all the boys houses that we had crushes one. This would happen at least 3 times a week. The adventurous times soon ended when my parents brought me in with the “look” and threatened me to tell them what I was doing after school. Anyways, I wasn’t about to tell them and they said, “Whitney, we know you have been driving the truck so you better fess up or you are not going to Hawaii” (we had a school trip to Hawaii coming up soon). That got me to spit it out with many tears needless to say.
Anyways, they wouldn’t tell me who told them, but I’m sure my neighbors totally saw many times, and it’s not hard to tell if gas has been missing from a truck that rarely is used. Also, my dad is a mileage tracker! (imagine the picture but a brown and cream rusted truck!... much cuter)
So, when I have kids I guess I will have to start paying attention to mileage and making sure there aren’t any mysterious miles added to a car :).
2. Name something brilliant that you've done lately:
Started my own business. Selling is going well!
3. Write a paragraph out of your journal from five or ten or fifteen years ago, closest to today's date. Feel free to change names to protect your dignity:
I wish I had my journals with me… They are in boxes in Idaho. I might have to call my little sister to pull them out and find the date!
I bet it says something about being in spud harvest for two weeks, working for my dad as a Johnstone pup, and having volleyball practice. I’m also sure it says something about the current crush and my new best friend.
4. What is something you love about yourself (don't worry, no one will think you're bragging):
I love that I am dependable and reliable.
I love dependable people so I try to make that one of my qualities.
5. Name a useless talent that you have:
I think have a talent of leaving clothes on the ground. I am a clutter bug in our bedroom. It drives brad crazy… I’m pretty good everywhere else with picking things up but my shoes and clothes have a hard time making it back to where they belong. Now that is a USELESS talent!
6. Tell a short experience that makes you laugh:
We were camping with the Harrisons last spring and a forever moment was born. While we were sitting around the campfire I was looking at the stars and said “back home we have the big dipper, what do you guys have here?” there was a moment of silence and then everyone busted up laughing. They all said, “ARE YOU KIDDING!!! WE HAVE THE SAME SKY HERE AS IN IDAHO!”
I blame it on my lack of knowledge of space. I was terrified of aliens when I was little. I would have extreme nightmares. Whenever we would learn about space or anything in the area at school I would totally zone out and ignore everything. The unknown and dark infinity of space always freaked me out.
I tag: Jen, Cassie, Whit, Natalie, Danna

Proposition 8
SALT LAKE CITY 30 June 2008 The following letter was sent from the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Church leaders in California to be read to all congregations on 29 June 2008:
Preserving Traditional Marriage and Strengthening Families
In March 2000 California voters overwhelmingly approved a state law providing that “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.” The California Supreme Court recently reversed this vote of the people. On November 4, 2 008, Californians will vote on a proposed amendment to the California state constitution that will now restore the March 2000 definition of marriage approved by the voters.
The Church’s teachings and position on this moral issue are unequivocal. Marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God, and the formation of families is central to the Creator’s plan for His children. Children are entitled to be born within this bond of marriage.
A broad-based coalition of churches and other organizations placed the proposed amendment on the ballot. The Church will participate with this coalition in seeking its passage. Local Church leaders will provide information about how you may become involved in this important cause.
We ask that you do all you can to support the proposed constitutional amendment by donating of your means and time to assure that marriage in California is legally defined as being between a man and a woman. Our best efforts are required to preserve the sacred institution of marriage.

My sister, April (who I absolutely adore), lives in Lancaster, CA. She was given the calling in her ward to be the head committee chairman of this “Proposition 8”. She organizes the “troops” in the ward. Every Saturday and they go out and physically knock on doors to make people aware of this new Proposition 8. She has told me that they 1)want to get people arware of it so they vote 2) when voting time comes they will go around asking in they have registered/voted, if not they will ask if they need a ride.
She is a SHINING example to me. She is donating money in many ways. She just paid her final car payment, so she is going to donate what would have been a car payment. The other week she house sat for a lady for who paid her $100 per night – she is donating that. She painted flowers in that same lady’s house and will donate that money. She had some things for sale on craigslist that she is going to donate the money. In total she is going to donate close to $2500!!! That is amazing. She recognized that the many “money making opportunities” fell in her lap and it was her duty to donate that money. It would be so easy to take all of that extra cash and pay bills, save it for a vacation or just play money. But no, she knows that it is the Lord’s way of blessing her with money that she now is donating.
I look up to my sister and the many people who are sacrificing their time and money. This is a HUGE deal. The church doesn’t become involved with politics usually… but this is a matter of MORALITY and SALVATION. Marriage between a man and a woman is such a sacred blessing and I pray that the people of California will feel the Saviors love and have their heart touched by those who are knocking doors to get people to vote for Proposition 8. Thank you President Monson, President Eyring, and President Uchtdorf for all of your hard work.

This Kid needs a new Body!
August 14, 2008
we might not be as fast as this kid...
but we sure had fun!
I would say it's pretty good that I still killed them with Brad yelling in my face the whole time! He was just mad that he couldn't beat a girl :)
We really did catch some fish! I swear
Well, being he prepared fisherman we were... we didn't bring scissors or pliers. The hook was clear back in the catfish so I ran to the other side of the lake to our apartment to grab something to cut the line. The poor fish...
I wish we would have brought a camera that night. My mom took pictures on her phone but to our luck, she dropped her phone in the toilet and it broke! so the pictures are the next 3 days of us trying to catch another fish while the camera was there... we didn't catch any :(
